What is Speed Mentoring?
Speed mentoring is a super casual and low-key way for people to meet others in their field and learn more about what’s needed to grow. We’ll have 3-4 sessions throughout the night and you can sign up to be in 1 or all 4. Each session is 30-45 minutes. We’ll guide & prompt you and in each session you’ll get to provide wisdom to multiple mentees. You feel good, they feel good. Win-win.
There’s no public speaking and the mentoring generally takes place in a closed room near the main event. It’s a really fun time and we’re told that by everyone at every tour stop. As for logistics, we’ll send you more details closer to the event.
Who Will I Mentor?
Everyone needs a mentor. Some mentees have a few years of experience and are ready for the next step in their career while others are just getting started or ready to take the leap. 70% of attendees have 2-9 years experience in tech, if that helps.
Am I qualified?
Short answer: yes. Long answer: Never underestimate what you know now and have learned along the way. Whether you are just starting out, made the switch from another career, or have been working in the field for years, you have something you can share with a beginner looking to channel their energies for success. Because our attendees are of all skill levels and have interests ranging from coding to biz dev and more, we seek a group of mentors with a range of skills.
