Amy Hirotaka works at the intersection of policy, technology, and community engagement. At Code.org, she led the charge to enact policies in dozens of states to expand K-12 computer science. She was appointed by Seattle City Council to the Community Technology Advisory Board, where she collaborates with municipal government to promote digital equity (an issue she’s very passionate about). Amy’s thrilled to have recently landed at Facebook doing public policy work and community engagement in her beloved hometown of Seattle. She earned her Master of Public Administration degree from the Evans School of Public Policy and Governance at the University of Washington.
