Damien Rocchi is CEO and Co-Founder at Grand Circus, one of seven Google for Entrepreneurs tech hubs in North America. Damien is a native Australian who is passionate about Detroit’s tech-led renaissance and the application of new approaches to education. In 2014, Damien was a recipient of the DBusiness “Champion of the New Economy” award for his contribution to Detroit’s tech community. Damien has regularly featured on Detroit’s Techweek 100 and in 2017 was a finalist in EY’s Entrepreneur of the Year.
Much of Damien’s experience involves building and growing new businesses, and he has led several teams within some of Australia’s largest consumer-focused companies. Prior to forming Grand Circus, Damien worked at Fairfax Business Media in Australia where he managed a group of digital businesses dealing in research & data, professional education, and digital news. In a former life, Damien also worked at McKinsey & Company where he guided business strategy in organizations across Australasia. Damien holds an MBA from Wharton Business School and an Economics Degree from Monash University in Australia.
