Mukhtar Shariff grew up in Boston and moved to Seattle in 2009 to attend Washington State University and study Business Administration. After college he started a successful logistics company based out of Tukwila, WA.
As time passed Mukhtar realized it was time to try something else. He began taking computer science courses at local colleges beginning his journey to the tech industry. Shortly after, he enrolled in General Assembly's Full Stack Development Bootcamp. Many months of studying, developing, and networking led to an opportunity at Microsoft as a Front end Engineer on the Windows team.
When Mukhtar isn't coding – he is working with underprivileged youth in the South Seattle area to help connect them with schools, internships, and opportunities.
